Foundation Board members are from the equestrian, business and local community. They care passionately about the security and future of Bridle Trails State Park. Contact us at: btparkfoundation@aol.com

Ken Hite, Board Member & President
Ken and his wife, Connie, returned to the Seattle area two years ago and fulfilled a dream by buying a home in the Bridle Trails area. Ken and his wife enjoy the park riding their two horses and taking long hikes with their dog. Being strong advocates that the park is core to the fabric of the neighborhood, they have plunged into the Foundation’s efforts to preserve the park for future generations. Professionally, Ken has served as senior business executive and consultant for several major companies.

Jim Erckman, Board Member & Vice President. Jim is also a Bridle Trails resident. He is an ecologist as well as an equestrian. He is interested in promoting appreciation of the park through environmental education.

Don Prince - Executive Director. Don has been a resident of the Bridle Trails area for nearly 30 years and uses the park for jogging and hiking with the family dogs – on leash, of course. He has been in the high tech industry for most of his professional career holding a number of sales management and executive positions. Don’s interest is to preserve the park as the cornerstone of the community and encourage more residents to use the trails and other facilities throughout the park.

Lothar Pinkers - Board Member & Treasurer. Lothar is a retired general surgeon who has lived in the Bellevue-Kirkland area for over 35 years. After following his horse-crazy youngest daughter to shows for several years, Lothar became involved in horse show management. First with the Lake Washington Saddle Club Fourth of July Shows, then the Equestrians' Institute dressage shows, and now, in addition to EI, USDF Region 6 Championships. At the age of 56, his wife Caroline committed the ultimate indiscretion and encouraged Lothar to take riding lessons. The result is a second horse enthusiast in the family. You can find him riding the Park trails at least three days a week. From Lothar's perspective, "You meet the nicest people in the Park. It is a joy to meet and talk with fellow riders, joggers, and walkers (individuals or whole families.) Some parts of the Park are so tranquil; you can even escape the noise of SR 405. Share it with us".

Alice Prince - Board Member & Secretary. Alice has lived around, and ridden her horses in, Bridle Trails Park for over 40 years. She has been on the Board of Directors of Lake Washington Saddle Club since 1974, the Advisory Board of the Bridle Trails Community Club since the early '90's, and is a founding member of the Board of Trustees of Friends of Washington State Parks and the Bridle Trails Park Foundation. Alice brings administrative, leadership and writing skills to the board and is passionately committed to preserving and maintaining this one-of-a-kind equestrian/pedestrian park for generations to come.

During that time she has been dedicated to preservation of the Park and the surrounding equestrian lifestyle.
