We will need volunteers for:

  • crowd control during times when horses enter and leave the public area,
  • selling tickets for breakfast and drinks,
  • selling merchandise,
  • help with the kids' activities (face painting, crafts, games),
  • checking in volunteers, and
  • other jobs during the event

Do volunteer hours count for Lake Washington Saddle Club end-of-year awards?

Yes, hours put into these volunteer jobs are applied towards volunteer hours needed for year-end awards.

Where do I park?

Free Shuttle: Due to the increased attendance and need for horse trailer parking, there will be limited parking in the main lot. It will be restricted to disabled parking for those displaying a state-issued handicapped placard and event-support vehicles only. Volunteers may park either across the street from the main entrance to the park in the church parking lot (limited parking) or at the Central Park Tennis Club (5820 125th Lane NE, Kirkland WA 98033). There will be shuttle service between the Central Park Tennis Club and the event. The tennis club is located across from Ben Franklin Elementary School on NE 60th. Since the park is only a few minutes from this parking lot, the shuttle will be making trips every 10 minutes from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm. Please consider using this FREE service!
