Seattle City Light, operator of the
power line in the center of the park, several months ago announced
plans for major tree cutting along their right-of-way to improve
reliability of their operations and reduce the threat of power outages.
At the urging of Bridle Trails Park Foundation, City Light and State
Parks have negotiated a long term Vegetation Management agreement
that implements standards and processes that will govern current
and future tree cutting along the right of way and protect the power
lines.
Representatives from Seattle City Light & Washington State
Parks will be holding a public meeting to present this plan. We
urge you to attend this important meeting to learn about the plan
, its impact on our Park, and get answers to you questions.
