THE HUNT FOR HIDDEN OBJECTS IN THE FOREST

Families hit a 1 mile trail for this event around Halloween, looking for hidden objects shown on a handout - think odd items like a horseshoe, a frisbee, a plastic rat, a music stand, and maybe an old cellphone (to name just a few). Kids, and some fun parents, come in costume!

SIGNS ON THE TRAIL

Signs along the trail have Halloween jokes, with names and images of animals native to the park.

AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN

A State Parks Interpretive Specialist brings animal skins, specimens, and mounts to share for all to learn about adaptations of those who call the park home. Warm beverages and treats also reward those who complete the hike!
